General Overview

The Motion Index Drives Motion Flex Index Drive line of Rotary Index Tables encompass a large range of sizes. Our complete line of RT series Rotary Index Tables are equipped with a constant lead cam and heavy duty cam followers to achieve high output torques. The Motion Flexible Index Drive line is ideal for the customer who absolutely needs the flexibility without compromising on the robust design of a barrel cam driven index unit.

Technical benefits for end users:

• Motion Flex Drives are completely flexible!
• The Motion Flex Drives utilize the strength of a standard fixed barrel cam drive, with the flexibility of a servo system
• Motion Flex utilizes a constant lead barrel cam, with a 10:1 reduction (10 rotation of the barrel cam = 360 degrees of rotation on the output flange)
• The Motion Flex line can use wither a standard AC motor with encoder or a servo motor
  • The standard AC motor with encoder is the most cost effective and simplest to set up and still offers extremely high accuracy index (+/- 0.01 mm at cam follower)
  • The servo motor package requires the use of a low backlash gear reducer and offers extremely high accuracy – Zero backlash!
• The strength is significantly higher than using a servo motor and reducer alone
• Index speed can easily be altered through the drive control either by altering the frequency for the AC motor option, or by modifying the servo motor speed.

• Reinforced output flange bearing for higher tilting moment
• Custom index and dwell angles can be tailored to your requirements
