As the ADE spindle driven roller-cam scissor lift has achieved an international reputation for quality and reliability over many years, a variant of the ADE roller-cam design, using hydraulic cylinder drive has been introduced. 172 of these roller-cam scissor lifts with spindle drives were recently selected by General Motors and installed on the final assembly line at Lansing in Michigan USA.

The significant advantage of ADE's roller-cam design is that the lift load is translated into a virtually constant pull force over the entire lift stroke. This means minimized wear and a higher mechanical efficiency can be achieved. As a consequence, this design has been widely adopted by systems integrators and the automotive industry as being eminently suitable for continuous, high duty rated manufacturing.
