Rotary Index Tables convert a uniform input motion into an intermittent output motion.
Intermittent output motion is transmitted through our hardened, precision-machined Barrel Cam Driven Device.
Automatic index drive cam profiles, most commonly: modified sine, cycloidal, modified trapezoidal, and simple sine allow a smooth acceleration and smooth deceleration free of harsh starts and stops in all our rotary index drives.
High precision cam followers and machined cams allow for accuracies of up to .0009” (0.023 mm) while our Rotary Index Dial Tables, Large Open Center Ring Drives, Trunnions – vertically mounted Turntable, Lift and Rotate Units, Globoidal Right Angle Drives, Parallel Shaft Indexers and all other Cam Driven Systems are in dwell.
Locking dwell eliminates any need for external locating devices, such as shot pin mechanisms.
